Bring your own books. Read them quietly, or read them quickly. Switch between modes without losing your place.

    Classic reader

    Paragraph-rendered with adjustable font size, line spacing, and three themes — parchment, sepia, and night. Every word is tappable.

    RSVP mode

    One word at a time, 100–1500 WPM, aligned to the Optimal Recognition Point so the focal letter sits where your eye lands.

    Tap to flick

    Tap any word in the classic reader to start RSVP at that word. Close RSVP and the reader resumes — highlighted in red so you can pick up where you left off.

    Bookmarks & highlights

    Mark a single word or a range. Jump back to either from a sheet — visible from both the reader and RSVP.

    Apple Watch companion

    Read in RSVP from your wrist. Scrub with the Digital Crown. Position syncs back to the phone over WatchConnectivity.

    Brings what you have

    Imports PDF, EPUB, RTF, and TXT — including charset-fallback decoding. Ships with three classic public-domain samples.

What it doesn't do

Nothing leaves your device.

The books you import live in SpeedRead's app sandbox on your phone. The app does not require an account, does not include analytics, attribution, or advertising SDKs, and does not transmit your library, your reading positions, or your bookmarks to any server we operate.

iPhone & iPad

Universal app for iOS 17.6 and later. iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac (compatibility mode). SwiftUI throughout. VoiceOver and Dynamic Type are first-class.

Apple Watch

Independent watchOS 10.6 app with its own small library. Long-press a book on the phone to send it across. Position deltas use the most-recent-wins convention.
