The fair-and-boring
use terms.

The fair-and-boring terms of use — updated to disclose our one subscription, plainly. Plain English first; legalese only where it genuinely has to be.

Acceptance of these Terms

Using the Site or any of our Apps means you agree to these Terms; if you don't agree, please don't use them.

These Terms of Use (these "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Legitimate LLC ("Legitimate," "we," "us," "our"). They govern your use of legitimateapps.com (the "Site") and every iOS application we publish, including Command (Command: Plan & Delegate), PromptKeeper, Bullion, NTFY me, OpenHarness, Faceoff, and SpeedRead (together, the "Apps").

By accessing the Site, or by downloading, installing, or using any App, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree to these Terms, your remedy is simple: don't use the Site or the Apps.

Who we are

Legitimate LLC is the publisher of this Site and all of the Apps, and you can always reach us at [email protected].

The Site and the Apps are published by Legitimate LLC. We make consumer software for Apple devices, distributed through the App Store. The Site exists to describe the company and the Apps, and to host documents like these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

We are a small company that answers its own email. Questions about anything on this page: [email protected], or via our Support page.

License grant

The Apps are licensed to you, not sold: a personal, revocable license for Apple devices you own or control, under these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA.

Each App is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use each App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms.

Your use of each App is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict as to a licensed App, the Apple Standard EULA controls.

We reserve all rights in the Site and the Apps that are not expressly granted to you in these Terms.

Your account & security

Some Apps offer a signed-in account; you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

Some Apps, such as Command, let you create an account so the App can store and sync your content for you. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, tell us promptly at [email protected]. We may suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect you, other users, or the service (see Suspension & termination).

Subscriptions & auto-renewal (Command Pro)

Command Pro is our optional auto-renewable subscription: US$19.99 per month after a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, billed by Apple, and cancelable anytime in your Apple ID settings.

What Command Pro is

Command Pro is an optional, auto-renewable subscription offered inside the Command app. It unlocks Command's AI assistant. Command's other features — and the core features of every other App we publish — remain free (see Free features vs. paid features).

Price and subscription period

Command Pro costs US$19.99 per month, billed monthly; each subscription period is one month. The price may vary by region and is always shown to you in the App before you confirm your purchase.

Free trial

New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial period ends, you won't be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Billing and automatic renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.

How to manage or cancel

You can manage or cancel Command Pro at any time on your device: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, then choose Command Pro. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. When you cancel, you keep access to Command Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Deleting the Command app does not cancel your subscription — cancellation must be done in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Refunds

All subscriptions are billed and refunded by Apple under Apple's terms. Legitimate does not separately process payments and does not issue refunds. To request a refund, contact Apple or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free features vs. paid features

The core features of every Legitimate app are free; subscriptions are optional upgrades, never a requirement.

Every App we publish works — and keeps working — without a subscription. The core functionality of each App is free.

Some Apps may offer optional paid upgrades. Today there is exactly one: Command Pro, the auto-renewable subscription described above, which unlocks the AI assistant in Command. If we introduce additional paid offerings in the future, we will disclose them plainly on this Site and within the relevant App before you are ever asked to pay.

All purchases are made through the App Store and are governed by Apple's transaction terms.

Acceptable use

Don't break the law, don't infringe other people's rights, don't attack our systems, and don't misuse the Apps or the Site.

You agree not to:

  • use the Site or any App to violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party;
  • reverse-engineer or decompile any App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or network associated with the Site or the Apps;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Site, the Apps, or the servers that power them;
  • submit malicious, abusive, or unlawful content through the Site (including the contact form) or the Apps;
  • use the AI assistant to generate, store, or distribute content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others;
  • rent, resell, sublicense, or redistribute any App except as permitted by the license above and Apple's terms.

Your content & ownership

You own the content you create in the Apps; we never claim ownership of it, and we only store it where an App's features require it.

You retain all ownership of the content you create with the Apps. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not sell it.

Where your content lives depends on the App and the features you use. Many of the Apps store your content on your device. Command stores the planning content for your signed-in account on Legitimate's servers so the service can provide it to you across sessions. Some processing — such as voice transcription — runs on-device. Where an App stores your content on our servers, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and process that content solely as needed to operate and provide the service to you.

Device backups and iCloud backups, if you enable them, are governed by your agreement with Apple. For more on how data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

The AI assistant & AI output

Command's optional AI assistant is powered by third-party AI providers, and its output can be inaccurate — use your judgment and verify before acting on it.

Command includes an optional AI assistant, available with Command Pro, that uses third-party large-language-model providers to generate responses. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or unsuitable for your situation. It is provided for general planning and informational purposes only and is not professional advice of any kind.

You are responsible for reviewing the assistant's output and for how you choose to act on it. Please verify anything that matters before relying on it.

Third-party services

The Apps rely on Apple for distribution and billing and on third-party AI providers for the assistant; those services operate under their own terms.

Apple. The Apps are distributed through the App Store, and all purchases — including Command Pro — are billed and refunded by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms. Apple is not responsible for the Apps or their content, and any questions about a charge or refund should go to Apple.

AI model providers. Command's AI assistant generates responses using third-party large-language-model providers. We do not control those providers and are not responsible for their services.

Your use of any third-party service is between you and that third party and is governed by its own terms and policies.

Intellectual property & trademarks

We own the Site, the Apps, and our trademarks; you own your content.

The Site and the Apps — including their software, design, text, and graphics, but excluding your content — are owned by Legitimate LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws.

"Legitimate," the dot wordmark, and the names of the Apps — "Command," "PromptKeeper," "Bullion," "NTFY me," "OpenHarness," "Faceoff," and "SpeedRead" — are trademarks of Legitimate LLC. Apple, App Store, iPhone, and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use any of these marks.

Disclaimers

The Site and the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Site or the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us (if anything) for the product at issue.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Legitimate LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or the Apps.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the Apps is limited to the amounts you paid to us, if any, for the App or subscription giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. Purchases made through the App Store are billed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

If your misuse of the Site or Apps, or your breach of these Terms, creates legal exposure for us, you agree to cover it.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Legitimate LLC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or the Apps, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Site and Apps anytime, and we may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

You may stop using the Site and the Apps at any time: delete the Apps from your devices, cancel any subscription in your Apple ID settings (remember: deleting an App does not cancel a subscription), and email [email protected] if you'd like your account deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, the Apps, or your account if you violate these Terms or where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users. Upon termination, the license granted to you under these Terms ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; we'll always revise the effective date, and material changes get a clear notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes — for example, new paid offerings — we will provide clear notice on this Site and, where appropriate, within the relevant App before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Site or the Apps after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms replace our previous terms of use, which were effective April 29, 2026.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, the Site, or the Apps, are governed by the laws of State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers to the questions people actually ask about Command Pro, cancellation, refunds, and account deletion.

How do I cancel Command Pro?

On your device, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, choose Command Pro, and tap Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. You'll keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the Command app does not cancel the subscription.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New Command Pro subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Do Legitimate's apps work without a subscription?

Yes. The core features of every Legitimate LLC app are free. Command Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks the AI assistant in Command — everything else keeps working without it.

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are billed and refunded by Apple under Apple's terms; we don't process payments or issue refunds ourselves. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. For anything else, our Support page is the fastest way to reach us.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email [email protected] and we'll delete your account and the content stored on our servers for it. Deleting an App from your device removes its on-device data. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
